Three Wild Things - Illustrations

Oh ladies three... let the wild things come out to play.

These ladies were a project I did for school.  The assignment said that you needed three fashion figures that were interacting in some way.
Once again, PrismaColor Markers were used. I decided they needed to be smiling.  I had to choose fabrics and then illustrate from those.  Here are pictures of the mood board:

A little Paris...

Today I was reminiscing about my trip to Paris.  It was a huge thing for me to travel abroad.  While in Paris, I got to experience many things, like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.  I also saw several museums

At the Louvre, I found that I loved the sculptures.  This is Mercury and Psyche.  It is exquisite workmanship and lovely.

Adriaen de Vries

The story goes something like this.  Cupid fell in love with a mortal that was gorgeous.  Of course there was jealousy from Venus and lots of other stuff happened.  In the end this woman Psyche, passed through several trials and was taken to Mount Olympus by Mercury, so Cupid and Psyche could be married.    This is a representation of that ascension into heaven.

Office Orginization Center

I found my original inspiration picture. This was from a Pottery Barn Catalog, several years ago. As I mentioned in the previous post, I did a few things different, but this was where my inspiration came from.

This is a picture of MY organization center. I have added a spot inside where I can place the items to be filed (which I did not have before) and I am adding some cork to the inside panel. At first I did not want to do that, but I found I was taping items up and that was not working as well as I wanted it to.

As for the magnetic panel, that is working really well.

All in all, I am pleased. I can still have my bills and other items accessible, but then I can close the doors and everything looks organized and cleaned up.

This has worked out really well.

The Red Dress - illustration

This is an illustration I did a while back.  I love ruffles.  You can see the pencil sketch and the finished color fashion illustration side by side.  The red one was done with Prisma Markers.  I used a touch of white colored pencil in the hair, the rest was markers.  When I first used the markers, I did not know if I would like them.  I have  always been a colored pencil kinda girl.  But I was hooked with the easy way the markers blended together.

I am going to start posting more of my illustrations here.

Let me know what you think!
